TPS
Hey I am new to the site.
I have recently done an engine swap in my civic and when I did it I cracked my throttle position sensor. I replaced it the other day with a new one Ever since I replaced it I have had problems with my idle. I have the TPS set to .45 volts as it is suppose to be set to that, but I am still getting a surging idle. When I have the car running and I unplug and plug the harness from the TPS the car runs fine, BUT it has its check engine light on. Please help me figure this problem out . I am also using a 62mm skunk 2 throttle body.
Thanks,
Travis.

Re: (19992civichatch)
to test out if your tps is bad, set it to the correct setting. it should be at .45 at closed throttle. Slowly open your throttle to full to, I think it's 4.5 open, and if the reading is erratic, you might have a faulty tps.

hey guys,
i recently did a swap from my blown 15. d15b to a 1.6 d16z6. I did not change over the wiring harness and ecu. Lately my car has been surging on the idle. I took it to midas and they did a full vaccuum line check, and still its surging. Midas called Honda here in London and the honda guy said right away without hesatation that it is the harness from my 1.5 and also the ecu.
is this true? can it be the harness or ecu? he checked the iacv and its clean and works fine. gimme a suggestion if you think its the harness and ecu..i didnt think it would be that since the car ran fine the first few days after the swap.
