Default Tow / trailer hitch on your civic?

Does anyone know if a 98 civic trailer hatch would fit a 92 civic?

No idea, but i hope your cars not a stick. youll eat through a clutch in no time pulling a car. in my opinion

your nuts a civic cant pull a car... hell my civic cant pull my 4 wheeler.. dont even thing about pulling a car with a civic hatch, lets put it this way my friends dads jeep (v6 model) sorta struggles pulling a car and 4 weheler, and that thing is made to go off road and pull ****. Do what you want but im telling you that you will not make it one state over pulling a car with a civic, **** the most i would tow with a civic is a bike.. a car bahahaha

somehow i think you guys saying uve towed a car havent even bothered trying.. or when u say towing a car u really mean 'it cant pull a car out of the ditch'

you guys DO realise that a 3000lb car on wheels only takes maybe 600lbs of pressure to get moving?

saying a civic cant pull a car is saying theres no ******* way i can roll start my car cause im only 1 person.. ive roll started my car numerous times by myself...

the only thing this guy will ahve to worry about is uphill pulls

it would be able to pull it..but once it gets moving u need to be able to slow it down. Im not sure how good braking a hatch with a car behind it has?.

What car are u towing there and back?

I'm saying ive seen a jeep struggle and it was a v6 and that **** couldnt go for ****, i flew by him pulling my quad in a s10 v6... Ive seen my honda accelerate with the ac on i could only amagine pulling 3500lbs. Do what you please but im just saying that a civic is no means made to tow a car, its made for a bike rack and thats it.... Look up the reccomended towing capacity of the car i bet its like oh say 1000lbs.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by blackbmagic &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> if ur car cant even pull a 4 wheeler uve got a prob cause we pulled my friends kawi 125 dirtbike and his honda 400ex with a trailer up to pa with his 94 ex n had no problems at all.</TD></TR></TABLE>

par say ive never tryed pulling my 4 wheeler because we have a truck, but im saying that it wouldnt be fun. and a dirt bike is lighter than a 4 wheeler and depends on the trailer you use also.

well being as I've towed a lot and I know a little bit about it you need to look at what your car and the hitch is rated for, as someone had said it's probabally 1,000 lbs so good luck trying to tow that car with yours. You'd probabally get it moving but it's going to be very hard on your transmission and slowing it down will be a bitch. I have a truck to pull my **** and I'd never dream of using the civic. The only things I would even consider would be to pull with the car would be a very small trailer just big enough for a fourwheeler, or one jet ski. All I can say is please don't do it your just asking for trouble.

How far do you have to go?

I have no idea if that hitch and all will fit to your frame.

I have a feeling this will turn into a GDD thread about the little civic that could. (DO IT!)

well go ahead and do it so then you can post how you tore your car all to hell, got into an accident, etc... it's just not safe plan and simple but go ahead and do it so you can come back to us whining about it.
