Default on totaljdm.....

when looking at the b16a g1's it says basic swap, and then complete swap....does that mean complete swap to swap into any car you want it in say my 92 hatch?if not what else would be needed to swap it into my 92

ok a basic swap is usually just motor and trans.no harness or ecu.a complete swap is motr, trans, wire harness, and ecu.if you are lucky you may also get axle shift linkage. gen 1 motors are for crx obd0, gen 2 is 92-95 obd1,and gen 3 is 96-00 obd2. you can convert the basic motors over to any obd series with the right parts.as for the transmissions you will need an adapter kit to put the gen 1 cable trans in a car with hydraulic clutch.92-00 are interchangable between 92 -95.they are all hydro. good luck and hope this helps you out

If you want a swap, do NOT buy from TotalJDM. I have ordered from them in the past and it is not worth it. It took me 3 months to get an engine they told me was "in stock and checked out". I spent countless hours emailing them and talking to them on the phone. Almost everyday I was in contact with them, only to get another new excuse as to why I am still waiting. Once you place your order, forget about it. They DO NOT follow up on orders or keep you informed at all. I was supposed to get a CTR cluster for the long wait.....that was almost a year ago.

Everybody says good things about hmotors and the next swap I order will most likely be from there.

DO NOT BUY FROM TOTALJDM!

why would you buy from totaljdm... lol

DO NOT BUY FROM PLACES WITH "JDM" in the title... nothing but scene kiddie, 3 year shops. Hmotorsonline is well proven.

Definately get the motor from HMO. I got mine from them and am completely satisfied. The motor is in perfect condition and runs great. It only took them a week to get me my motor from Cali to VA.

Good luck with searching for an engine!!! I placed my order with Total JDM on July 22, 2004. I sent them a cashiers check fore @ $4200.00. I have been promised everything from this company and as of today I have nothing. I have tried everything and have even hired an attorney to "help" resolve this issue. Most likely I won't be getting my money back or a motor swap from them. Without this money back I will not see a motor swap for my car. Again I hope this doesn't happen to you or anyone else-good luck!! Dave Del Villaggio

we dealt with totaljdm.com. they arent too bad. we got our swap pretty quick, but the axles were wrong and they DO NOT talk to you after you order. they also didnt give me my affiliate bonus because my friend bought a swap off them. they seem kinda sketchy, but hmo is sooo much more expensive. at least they were before, i havent checked them out lately

i guess your experience was liek that because the engine was out of stock (altho they lied by saying it was) i ordered my D15B from them last yearthey had it shipped to me within 2 days of recieving my payment and Andre is who i dealt with , real nice guy too i might add.

but if your in the States, Go with HMO.

if your in Canada, tokyo auto parts in Toronto is a GREAT spot aswell. and have great prices aswell

wasn't totaljdm the place that was whining, crying, and threatening lawsuits against their competetor over a couple of emails sent by a previous employee?

If you look up totaljdm youll see alot of problems with them. They turned into the next Osaka Motors, which use to be a great place to get motors until something happened inside and it all went downhill from there.
