Torque specs for LCA's? 99 Civic

Hi, I am about to pick up a new LCA because my old one was bent to hell...
I'm picking up an OEM unit.

What are the torque specs on the three bolts? What dod you guys do when you installed all your fancy LCA's?

And make sure to use alot of antiseize, it'll make you happy if they ever need to come off again.

Happy? Why would he be happy if they come off?

Your're kidding right? its a preventitive measure, those bolts are known to seize up alot. If he doesnt want to have a siezed bolt later antisieze will prevent this. Its not a lube, just a seizing prevention product.

OK I did 65 pounds..... it seems that the LCA i didn't mess wit was at about that too...

I want to say that specs are in the 44-54ft-lb ballpark. I don't have my manual in front me, but you went to 65ft-lb, so it shouldn't be goign anywhere

according to the helms manual for all 96-00 civics

the flange bolt for the Rear Lower Control Arm is to be tighened to 40 foot pounds

I concur. The rear ones are 40 foot pounds. The front one's are 78 foot pounds i believe.

Um, i didnt say locktite, and i hope no one ever uses that stuff on an LCA bolt, they seize enough on their own. Also does no one know how antisieze works? Good or bad weather, that metal will form deposits just from being in the open air, not to mention rain and all the goodness. Antiseize prevents the bushing metal piece/bolt/welded nut from becoming one pain in the **** unit. sheez
