Well i decided to take my car to the limit one night, and when i hit 130 it started to bog pretty bad. Now, when i try to start the car, i have to give it a lot of gas and then i have to always make sure i give it gas when the clutch is in because it will stall immediately.

Does anyone have any ideas? Maybe the 02 sensor?

check spark plugs, 1st thing, take off your valve cover, see whats up with it, other then that you shouldnt be topping 140.. where did you do this, you can kill yourself and others,

hmm... i was playing around and took my car up to 120 and a little later whenever I gave it gas it would start to bog ... a little in the beginning but a few monthes down A LOT. I replaced my wires and it was fixed... doubt it will help but good luck

You probably hit the speed limiter.

Change your fuel filter. Also might want to get a fuel pressure regulator.

Oh, and dont do 130. =P

Try checking the plugs like stated above (maybe you burnt them up), changing wires, cap and rotor isn't a bad idea unless they are pretty new. The coil could be going bad and having trouble making a good spark. check fuel pressure and if that is low, maybe trying to get it up to that speed sucked up some crap from the tank. Try running some BG-44k to clean out the lines and injectors, then change the fuel filter if it doesn't get any better. After that if pressure is still low it and is still bogging you might try a fuel pump, if the small fuel stuff didn't work and the coil, plugs, wires, etc. doesn't work. Good luck.

Oh yeah, I'm sure you were going that fast in your backyard right, not on the highway. ; )

Check your spark plugs. My friend hit his limiter once and cracked the insulator of the spark plug. Replaced it and it was much better.

With the engine revving that speed at WOT with that much load, when the computer cuts the fuel off, ****'s going to burn inside the engine. Check the plugs like stated above.

Oh, and next time you want to top it out, keep it on the Bonneville flats.

Hondas don't have any governer. The B18C1 can easily handle driving at 130 with WOT. My B1 does just fine when I do a top speed test (up to 135) and it has 154,000 miles on it.

Thanks a lot guys for the help. i'll try replacing the plugs and see what happens. and also, yeah it was on a highway but nobody was around so yeah... it wasn't as bad as it sounds

I know I'm not. They don't have a speed governer. The car will as fast as the power of the engine will allow it to go.

If you've ever driven a domestic car to the governer, when you get to that speed the car will either:
A) Drop down about 10 or 15 mph (I think this is how GMs are. This si what happens in an Olds Alero)
B) You will feel the kinda shutter as it cuts fuel to keep it at that top speed (It's like this in Ford trucks I know).

I don't think Honda's have a governor either while I'm not sure why they wouldn't.

It does seem that they allow you to go as fast as the engine can handle. I've topped out 3 Hondas I've owned and they all seem to stop going when they run outta power.

But I'm not sure, just stating my experiences.

If I recall correctly, imports aren't required by law to put them on so they don't spend the extra money to put them in.

some hondas have it and some dont

i believe preludes never had them and some accord?

but i dont know about integ motors

most civics are about 120mph speed limiter

Integras definately do not, mine goes to 135, and no Civic I have ever driven has. A DX I drove went to about 110 before it ran out of power and a EX a drove went to around 120 before it ran out of power. (DX=106 hp 110 EX=127 hp 120) I drove a GS-R to around 145. (LS=142 hp 135, GS-R=170 hp 145) I haven't had the pleasure of driving a Type-R yet. I've seen video of them pinning the speedo at 150 slightly modded though. (Type-R 195 hp 150+) 2002 Accord EX (150 hp 130). Much heavier than an Integra or Civic though.

It all depends on power and the design of the car to not have as much air resistance.

You can be and are incorrect. Chime in for the 1992-00 Civic and the 1994-97 Accord which are all governed.

Um, yeah... 92-00 Civics are governed at 120mph. The ones you drove probably didn't have enough power to take them there.

Did you make the 130 run with a stock ecu or a chipped one? check you timing belt and the timing marks and gears make sure they line up. If your spark plugs are good check your valve adjustment. Next check your engine compression. Might of nicked your valves...

Stock ECU. i'll be opening up the valve cover today and checking some stuff.

Sounds good. I hope it goes well. If Civics and Accords have governers then why didn't all Hondas have them or newer Hondas? I'm just saying, that I know I drove a 1997 Civic del sol to 130 mph and a 1998 Civic EX to around 120 mph. The del sol had no mods and the EX had a SRI. Nothing else.
