took my civic off the road to turn it into a race car.
1992 civic si hatch back.
2000 b18c5 motor. stock
intake/header.
flywheel/clutch,
fuel guage/regulator.
field vtec controler and cam gears
everything removed.
fiberglass sunroof insert
gutted dash (just outer skin)
no carpet or interior at all
one momo t-frame race seat (one seat belt)
no exhaust (open header, dc jdm 4-1)
lexan rear hatch glass.
no rebar.
all tar and firewall mat removed.
no cruise, no a/c, no p/s.
15" rota slipstreams
gsr front brakes.
stock rear disk,
10lb flywheel
no door pannels.
1liter gas, stock gas tank.
car ran 12.76 @ 105 mph (06/22/02) daily driver 365 days a year for 2 years.
weighed in at 1980lb with me (170lb)
i took the civic off the street and bought a 1993 ford f150 pickup truc to tow my civic and to use as a daily driver. i gutted the rear hatch lid and gutted my doors and put in lexan window in the doors and brushed aluminum door pannels.
ran 12.56 @ 107mph (09/07/02) havent weighed it yet but, guesing 1900lb with/me
the shell is still untouched. front window and rear 1/4 windows are glass. spair tire well is going to be cut out. roof cross bars are going to be removed. alot of little things are going to be done to reduce even more weight.
after the chassis is done then i will concentrate on the motor,
whats the fastest 1/4 mile time for a honda with a stock allmotor bseries motor?

That's all depending on the b series itself.. I've seen dyno charts on 300hp B16's and B18's running in the high 11's on VERY good days... Not stock internals obviously but still, that's impressive. Off roading huh? You do have yourself a very nice setup I must say. Honda's aren't really built for off road use.. You'd spend more money on the Honda to get ready for off road duty than a WRX or something. But by all means, pave the way man.. Good luck.. I wanna see pics though, I've never really seen an offroad civic before...
