Tom's Motorsport Coilovers
Has anyone ever heard of this brand? I've been advised that is uses the same spring rates as Skunk and has a better purch system than Skunk2. Is this true, can anyone vouch for these coilovers?

Looks like GC style threads and locking collars, which I definitely prefer to dual locking collars like most set-ups feature.
As to the quality of "toms" parts... who knows. |
Re: Tom's Motorsport Coilovers (lastlude2k1se)
have them on my 99 coupe, but you better get some decent struts to go with them or you'll get beat up and down!

Re: Tom's Motorsport Coilovers (lastlude2k1se)
I have them on my car with Tokico blues and the ride is a bit bumpy, not bad tho

Well I am currently running tokico Illumina with Tein s. tech springs. I am looking to upgrade my current springs. These coilovers have a 5 yr warranty so I guess they're pretty good quality? Anyways the only reason I'm considering them is b/c the price comparison to skunk2 is $475 to $150!!!!

Re: (lastlude2k1se)
...and if they use 2.5" ID springs, you can get whatever rate you want w/ some Eibach ERS springs or the H&R 2.5" variant.

I'm fron Canada if that makes a diff https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif Also, I agree that the tein coilover setups are much nicer, but the springs? I'm not too sure about that, they have such a low spring rate. |
Re: (TURSpoonEK)
dont pay that much for toms coilover. i paid 80 shipped to mine with 450f/350r for mine but i switched them for autocross reason. i never had any problem with them so far with my illumina. im looking for stiffer ers right now to use with them.

Ok since my main concern is a spring/shock setup good for auto-x, do you recommend something else other than Tom motorsports, or skunk2 coilovers? Maybe a better set of springs to replace my Tein S.techs? |
Re: (lastlude2k1se)
tein can get you any spring rate you want
plus you can use swift , showa or endless/deal springs.......... |
