not sure of a good price but for 460.00 for new shocks and springs it seems pretty fair https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |
Re: tokico shocks and springs ... (HCJDM1)
shocks are good. but not sure about the springs.
|
Re: tokico shocks and springs ... (koulaid)
what spring would you sugest ...im looking for a 2 inch drop
|
i bought that same setup from the same guy..good guy, fast shipping...
as for the combo, its a good price, compared to buying it individually...the springs are OK. a little on the SOFT side, for my taste, but it works. |

Re: tokico shocks and springs ... (HCJDM1)

|
Re: tokico shocks and springs ... (theputz)

|
Re: tokico shocks and springs ... (blinx9900)

come on man i siad 4x4, who likes a 4x4 stance? tockiko makes good shocks, but the springs are what ever, too high for my taste. |
Re: tokico shocks and springs ... (blinx9900)
My friend has them... the shocks are great... but the springs don't lower the car enough.

did you replace the springs? If so with what? How did the tokico springs ride? |
Re: tokico shocks and springs ... (theputz)
the springs were linear rate so they where not as forgiving at low speeds, bot not terrible , i then swiched to gold line springs, then to swift springs on koni/neuspeed shocks. basically the tockico springs are not as bad as the cheap ass ebay shit but there are much better options out there. i prefer h&r or tein even swift if ya got the $$
|
ya they are ok, I rather just get the KyB's
|
Re: (la_patrick_ek)
what do you think of the tokico illumina's with h&r sports? Looking for a soft daily driver ride with a decent drop.

you need to get that idea out of your head, the softer the ride the closer to 4x4 stance you will be, the lower the ride the harsher. it is possible to have it slammed and ride decent, but you CANT slam it and have it ride like STOCK. |

not STOCK but you CAN "slam" and ride close to stock https://honda-tech.com/zeroforum/54 all you need to know is there |

I am looking for a good combination. I dony want the "slammed" look lowered a bit to fill some wheel gap. |
Has good reviews, unlike AGX's. http://www.carreview.com/cat/p....aspx

ok, i though you wanted slammed, if thats the case check out H&R, Tein, or Goldline. whatever you get just make sure its a "progressive rate" spring, this will help out with the ride quality. also a damping adjustable shock will help with ride quality. i prefer the koni/neuspeed shocks or tokico blue/illumna/dspec. the blue's are not adjustable but there pretty cheap decent alternativ if you on a budget. |
Re: (blinx9900)
ON my ej8 i had a setup of tokico blues and hr 2inch springs.. Bottom line the ride was great, and alot smoother... Hope this helps...
