Tokico Illuminas or KYB AGX? which would you get to match with OG skunk coilovers?
i have a 97 civic coupe lowered with ORIGINAL skunkworks coilovers (before skunk2 was even conceived) and wanted to know which ones i should get. ride, quality, adjustability, etc... thanks

I have the Tockicos with Skunk2 coilovers and I love them for what I paid. If you just want to drop the car and improve handling the non-adjustables will be fine. If you plan to autocross or do agressive driving you might want to get the adjustables. It all matters if you will USE the shocks or not.

i would say not the agx, ive heard of the agx wearing out under the stress of skunks, i say either yellows or illuminas.

thanks guys! im leaning towards the illuminas because of the quality/reliability and it doesn't hurt that im getting a set for $350. ill be using them mostly for everyday driving but then ill want to be able to hit a local autoxxx when the time arises.

I'm jockin the illuminas and I love them. In about 30 seconds you can go from a stock ride to rock solid since installing them I have changed my normal routes (to work/g/f etc) so that I get more twisties...in short, they are well worth the money.

I've got Skunk2 coilovers with Tokico Illuminas on my car too and the adjustability is almost instant that's why I like them so much! and for $350? don't pass up the offer! i got mine for $450

works great...

FYI skunkworks = skunk2. they had to make the name change because Lockeed Martin threatened to file a lawsuit if they don't change name. the coilovers is the exact same products except for the name change.

sell the skunk2 coilovers and get a NEX coilover system. W/ the money you get from the skunk2's you will be able to get a really good coilover system that will be way better than the one you are trying to mate together.

i've been looking and waiting around for a long assss time. my buddy flaked on me with the illums and came across the agxs on ebay. it was a dutch bid, the seller had 10 sets for eks. just keep your eye open, you'll run across a good deal.
