Tires hitting wheel well
Last night I was heading to a party with 4 friends. 1 up front and 3 in the back. I started to drive off and I hear this noise, kind of sounds like whirling. I drive up the street some more not paying attention to it and smell rubber. I pull over and sure enough all that weigh in my backseat was making the back of my car go down enough to touch the damn tire. I still haven't even lowered it but I plan to. What should I do about the wheels touching the wheel well problem? The lowering springs I plan on putting on are Skunk2's. What kind of shocks should I get? Should I take out the backseat and make my friends drive? Or should I just get skinnier friends?

Lol...well that is one option. There are many different companies to choose from when it comes to lowering springs, and shocks. It all depends on your goals with your car. My one suggestion is to do it right the first time. If you get a good coilover setup now, you will be happier in the long run. It doesnt sound like your going to need a crazy track setup. Get some Omnis (pretty stiff), or some TEIN Basics (not so stiff).

you said you are still on stock ****? like havent lowered yet. well that could vary well be the answer why you are rubbing and the read sagging down so much.
i have some drop springs on mine that came on the car that will be getting replaced soon, but anyway, even with my stock blown struts, and random drop springs, that drop about 2.5" i still dont rub out back with 2 people in the backseat. but then again, maybe i just have skinnier friends.

Yeah I'm on stock ****. Haven't lowered it. But I did put on 17 inch Konig Tantrums. I had 1 fat dood in the back and the other 2 were just average. I also had 2 12's in the truck and an amp. All stock suspension and it rubbed. I wanted to cry. I have the Skunk2 lowering springs just sitting in my room, uninstalled. I need to buy a camber and shocks/struts. 94hatchling so you're saying because I'm on stock **** that's why it's rubbing?
