Tire Treadlife question
I have Pirelli P6000 tires on my car 195/50-15 if that matters, and they have a treadlife of 180. Does anyone know how long these should last? I was looking at them today after I ran up and down this curving road and they are looking almost weak after 10,000 miles. Anyone got an idea? Thanks.

My cheap *** 175/70/13s are rated at 400.
The manufacturer claims about 50,000.
Your mileage is dependant on how you treat your tires.
Air pressure, alignment, rotation...

Re: Tire Treadlife question (Eee Pee)
I haven't had an alignment done but I know the wear is even. I have rotated them once at about 7000 miles, and they sit at 35 psi. If thats right and with a treadlife of 180 I should be good for about 22,000 miles. Jeez, I drive too much.

Ususally, the lower the treadwear rating the stickier your tire will be and the lower the overall treadlife. Expect to get about 20 to 25k on your tires, depending on how hard you are on them.

180 treadwear is pretty low... I had some auto-x tires (michellin Pilot Sport Cup) that were rated at 80 treadwear... they only lasted 3 months!!! I guess it also matters that I drive like a mad man.... But boy did those tires hold!!!!
