ok so i recently installed some function and form type 1 coilovers. i dropped it about 2.25 inches and noticed a really bad sound when i made a hard right..i think its the pinch weld that is hitting the tire and caused/causing a big gash in my tire..and BTW i have not gotten an alignment since i put the suspension on and its been a good two months. you think its because of the alignment?? any feedback is helpful

ok ill post up a pic later on...but on top of the wheel well there is a plastic cover that covers up a weld. my tire broke through the plastic and is now hitting the weld and is taking chunks of my tire. my question is have any of you guys had this problem or ever seen anything like it?

so heres what im talking abouti think this is the pinch weld. im sure all civics have em...the red is where i cut and shows where it was before i cut it.. it was hitting there...but i cut it and its still hitting, thats whats happening to the tire which im still riding on. Any suggestions??

pick it up or
run smaller tires/wheels or
grind down the pinch weld (be careful with this one)

get some good gas shocks and it should eliminate your problem cause the cut is in the middle of the tire and you are just rubbing when you LEAN into a turn so some good shocks or like hunts said smaller tires or lift it.

well i wanna know why its only happening to the right tire and not the left.. ive taken left turns just as hard as i take right turns and that side is perfect..keep in mind i havent gotten an alignment after putting my coilovers on so thats a factor too.
