Default Tips on putting rear bottom seat back on?

I'm having so much trouble installing the rear seats back in my '96 Civic hatch and the bottom seats is the main problem. I can't for the life of me put those two metal hooks back into the hole and get the seatbelts into the seat openings. I've tried numerous approaches and not a single one accomplished anything except random cuts on my hands

I mean not even my 2012 Golf TDI was this problematic with installing the rear seats back on, but on this, it was easier to take it out but to put it back on I continue to have issues with it.

Any tips? Thanks

Remove seat backs. Tilt at a 45 degree angle, back down. Clip it into the rear clips. Lower down onto the front clips. Reinstall retaining bolts for front clips. Reinstall seat backs. Done.

Good stuff, I'll try your approach out this weekend. Although the seat backs haven't been installed yet, I usually would do the easier installs last and deal with the more difficult stuff first.

Cheers.

No problem the only part that's ever been a pain in the *** for me is getting those bolts for the front clips. It's a blind bolt, hidden under the cushion, so you have to hope you have it at the right angle as you try to thread it in there.

Your advice did the trick! I was able to get the rear bottom seat with a lot more ease thanks to you! Best of all, no cuts on my fingers or knuckles as a result lol

Thanks again man! Cheers.
