Tips on installing exhaust
Does anybody have any tips or pointers they want to offer me before I try this?
I ordered a GReddy evolution system for my 98 civic ex coupe and I figured I'd try. Thanks in advance.

Re: Tips on installing exhaust (Mike_N_Ike)
it would be nice to have a lift. we installed our header, cat, midsection, and rear section on ramps and stands. it was kinda a pain but hey we got it on. use some liquid wrench on all the bolts and nuts to loosen them up. have a buddy help out. Karl (smokkin rubber) installed his catback himself. goodluck

i did my cat back system by my self, wasnt that bad.....you may need some kind of impact wrench, either air or electric, depending on how rusted the bolts are....2 of mine broke off, but i had new ones waiting. Just dont rush it, and have lots of WD-40 handy Good Luck

spray the rubber hangers w/ WD40 before you start as well. Makes removal and install a snap.

Re: Tips on installing exhaust (jgale)
whenever i do exhausts i take the whole thing off. i just unbolt or break the 2 bolts from the manifold to the cat because the 3rd bolt on top of the cat is hard to get to. i unbolt the 2 bolts then take it off the hangers w/ a little support. then you have the whole thing off and dont have to be under the car to get the cat bolts off and on. it honestly take 15 minutes, cause the 3 cat bolts are always so hard and rusted so just replace the boltes anyway and put on never sieze to get them off easier when you have to put on your turbo!!!!!!!

Re: Tips on installing exhaust (clean)
FINALLY your learning jk
Yeah i agree with clean. i've done this many times, and have found it is better and easier to just undo the two bolts from the manifold and the just undo all your hangers and pull the whole thing out. much easier to unbolt things on the ground then it is on your back!
