Im not a huge fan of tinted tail lights, but if you like it looks like you did a good job.

Maybe if you wouldn't have tinted your taillights, you would have seen your explorer enough to avoid backign into it
Not really my style, but it looks like you did a decent job. What kind of paint did you use?

Not my thing but if you like it, I guess that's all that matters. Just don't whine when that big F-350 on stilts doesn't see your brake lights glowing and slams into you ruining your car. I am only a fan of tinted windows..not tail lights.

Looks good there man.
The best way to tint your light is to sand down your lights first, then take some clear coat, add 4 or 5 drops of just black into a small batch, and clear coat your lights. You can get them as dark as you want and the light shines right through. I've done this a few times on some of buddy's cars. I've even done some headlights that look solid black but as soon as you turn on the lights, the are just about 95% dimmer than what they were.

Yeah I don't get this either. Darker lights = less visible = soccer moms skidding into you in their minivans. Are there really people who think: "Hey, cool, that car has dark taillights - awesome!" If so, then those people need their heads examined and/or are too young/foolish to understand the implications of lowered vehicle conspicuity.

Not good for reverse lights. And when done properly and adequately, they turn out very nice and even don't lose light conductivity.
Besides; who gives a **** about lowered vehicle conspicuosity? If I tint my taillights and get pulled over, i don't worry because I have nothing to hide from a cop.
