Hi, i've been timing my car and have had interesting results. it seems as tho my adjustment is basically 16degrees+ nothing lower. what can be causing this? i asked a couple of mechanic friends and they say that if the timing belt is even a tooth off the car most likely won't idle right or run right. But this car is running perfectly as we speak well alsmost.. i just can't pass inspection. my goal was to retard the timing, but seeing that i'm already at the lowest setting i can go (16 degrees) i'm not sure what to do. what things should i check? the motor is a d16 auto. it has a new cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs. thanks
