timing really off

Default timing really off

i have a 96 civic hatch with a 99 gsr motor. my timimg is really off . i've tried moving the distributor around, but that didint fix the probblem. what else could be the problem. can some one please help me.

Id just try setting your motor back to TDC on the number one cylinder. Then work with that from there.

i've heard of that but have no idea how to do that. you're talking about the number 1 piston right. well if you have any ideas how to do that , it would help me greatly.

Make sure the crank and cam are on TDC. If you don't know how to do that, I suggest you get yourself a manual.
