timing question on a d16z6.

Default timing question on a d16z6.

ok guys when the cam gear is even with the head.which way should the keyway slot on the distributor side be facing?should it be up and down or sideways or what?

look and see which way the rotor is facing. It should be facing number 1 terminal.
- forgot which way slot faces

what about the valves which ones should be open or closed at tdc?

cylinder 1 valves should all be closed, and cylinder 4's exhaust should be closing and intake should start opening
