Timing Question
ok here is my problem. my y8 EK is out of time and the little marks on the crank pulley are worn off so no shop will do it. i thought that i might slightly adjust it myself till it sounds better, but i have a few questions.
my car is out of time and stumbles from time to time has no power and everything else is fine...so that would mean basically its running behind the correct time right?
and if i am correct which direction (clockwise or counter) do i turn the cam once i loosen the tensioner pulley to get it closer to the correct time. i dont think its out of time real god awful bad cause it doesnt sound like it is...
any help you can provide would be great. also i have already tried replacing the crank pulley with one that would allow me to use the timing gun and everything but i cant find one on any wrecked cars at junkyards and no one has any spare parts around here....HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Re: Timing Question (BurntRice009)
this site should have eveything you need
http://www.crxsi.com/resources..._belt/
as for the pulley marks....use paint...such as whiteout to mark them and the timing gun will be able to read it

Re: Timing Question (krazySOHC)
question...there is a little cap over the tensioner pulley bolt...when you loosen this nut you should be able to remove the timing belt...correct? now when i want to tighten the belt back up how do you do that??? just tighten the nut???
