Default Timing Question...HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok guys i have a very bad problem. after tracing down all my problems on one of my EKs i found out i was out of time. now normally this wouldnt be too big of a problem to fix, but you should see the crank pulley. all the marks on it to set the timing have wore off . ok so now there is no way possible to put this bitch back in time correctly. unless, and this is where you guys come into effect... is there only one way to put the crank pulley onto the crank??? i would think so considering it is required for timing etc...just like the distributor. can anyone confirm this for me??? thanks for your help ahead of time.

yes, there is a woodruff key slot on the crank and on the pulley, so it can only go on one way. Do you have a timing light?? Is it ignition timing or cam timing that's off?

cam timing is off and has been frmo the get go. i just remembered that when we put the motor in the car i drove it anyways cause i didnt care even though we knew it was out of time, not bad, but still. i eventually had to adjust the ignition timing to make up for it but now i just waste gas so i need to get this bitch fixed. thanks for the help though.
