timing question

timing question
when i go time my motor, i cannot get the red mark to line up with the knotch. no matter which way i turn the dizzy. i replaced the plugs / wires, but still cannot get it to line up. can anybody guide me in the right direction?

not sure which engine your referring to but, it needs to be set at whatever deg. btdc should be. did you jump your serv check conn. will help stop fluctuations while timing

do you have cam gears? are they adjusted? is the initial timing correct? (did the belt jump?) and make sure you jump the check connector while you time also.

engine = d15b7. i did jump the service connector also.
motor is stock.

initial timing is the way you set the cam and crank up as you put the belt on, it is called initial timing.
