Default Timing belt question...

I bought a rolled over 95 civic ex coupe at a junk yard. Has the d16z6 in it with 67k miles. First time I looked at it, timing belt was intact, and the AEM tru-time cam gear was exposed. When I bought it, the belt was snapped, and they said they took the cam gear off because someone tried to steal it. I'm not gonna get bent valves and all that stuff if someone just yanked on the timing belt and broke it will I?

No one tryed to start the engine after that, but is it possible that you could turn the crank just by pulling on the timing belt?

I don't think you've got much to worry about.

Doubtfull, and even if the engines turned, I doubt it would bent the valves.

My friend snapped the timing belt of my old CRX, he started like a real dumbass for a good 10 minutes before calling the towing and I had no valves bent. Now I don't mean that valves don't bent, I mean that sometimes you are lucky

no, there's no way you would be going against the compression just by pulling the T belt, and if you did, it wouldn't be cranking fast enough to impact the valve to piston. No worries there.
