timing belt..
hi, i drive a 97 civic DX my current mileage is 100500 and my timing belt is due at 105K. The thing is i'm planning to delay changin' the belt until summer, say worst case around 120K. Have anyone took this risk before? I know you'll be really screwed up if the belt breaks but i've been havin' some credit problem so i just can't do it right now. Either i don't drive the car or take the risk.
thanks.
thanks.

Re: timing belt.. (atermizi)
drive slowly and no racing should last over the summer too
my is at 123k no problems yet!! thats because I am dropping a B16 this spring so my Z6 is no biggy!!
But if you plan to stay with that motor, you need to take care of that t-belt asap ...better safe than sorry!!

look at it...see if its frayed or looks worn...its not all of the sudden going to bust on you one day if there arent signs of wear...if it looks beat...replace it
