Timing belt?
Whats some signs of a worn timing belt? I had a engine swap done last february and the mechanic was kinda shady, but i dont know if i should replace it yet or not im a little nervous, can anyone tell me some signs of worn timing belts?

jus replace it... better safe than sorry. If you know by chance... how many miles are on the engine?
its always good to replace the timing belt whenever you do an engine swap therefore you know you have a good 90,000 miles before you need to replace it again.

x2... if your unsure replace it. last thing you wanna do i break a belt and bend up valves and stuff. you can look at the edges to see if they are wearing and stressed as well as look for cracks and see how hard the rubber is.

well the timing belt was done when i got the motor replaced in febuary, and i think i've put about 15,000 miles on it maybe a little more, but i think it was rubbing on my timing belt cover, so i want to check it out and replace it if i have to, i will post pics tomarrow, but what do you guys think? replace it?

Okay so i took some pics of my timing belt so let me know fi you guys think i should replace it, or if it looks new still.

You can't tell whether a timing belt needs replacing simply by looking at it (unless it's in obviously terrible condition).
When in doubt, replace it. It's not terribly difficult or expensive, and it could prevent costly engine damage.
