Default Timing adjust on 99-00 Si?

Is the timing setting on a B16A (99-00 Si) manually adjustable or is it all adjusted by the computer?

Reason I ask is that my car smokes (black) at high rpms. I changed the plugs recently, and the old plugs appeared fine with no visible issues. The new plugs and new plug wires are not helping my back smoke issue.

I am thinking maybe the car is running rich, but how can I adjust it?

Warm up the engine, jump the service connector, hook up a timing light, and turn the distributor until the red mark (middle in group of three marks) on the crank pulley aligns with the pointer on the lower timing belt cover. The engine must be idling to spec during this procedure.

Is the CEL on?

No CEL. Engine runs good. It is nice and smooth, very reliable. It just smokes at high rpms. The new plugs and wires helped low rpm response.

I had a 00 Si that I bought brand new and it never smoked. This 00 Si has 133k miles. What causes B series to smoke when they get high mileage? I think mine smokes more than other high mileage B series....

How do I know which O2 sensor is bad? Is there a way to test them? How many O2 sensors are there?

Should have 2. And the one before the CAT is the one that controls the mixture.

Before just replacing parts, a bad primary O2 sensor is only one of many possible reasons for running rich. For example, you should also consider:

-misadjusted ignition timing and valve clearance
-stuck open thermostat and a bad ECT sensor
-high fuel pressure and stuck open fuel injectors
-an exhaust leak near the primary O2 sensor

Without going through and replacing everything listed above, how can I determine what exactly is the problem?
