time to replace stock suspension for the DD 97 civic coupe..
It needs to stay the same height..or I would like it to due to the driving conditions in small town nebraska, but what direction would you guys go keeping it under $500?
Dynamic Auto? I found some for like 235 on ebay...I know ebay stuff usually is not quality but I do not know where else to look for cost effective suspension set ups. Again I don't care about racing and such, I just need to get by without the noise my shock/struts make having 140,000 miles on them...

Stock height?
Keep stock springs and replace shocks with KYB GR-2. They are like $60.00 a piece and they are IMO some of the best affordable stock replacement shocks money can buy.

no need to replace springs? also will it stiffen it up a bit? I wouldn't mind that!

I don't need to stiff it up, i would just like it to not give as bad as it does, my tire guy says the struts are shot, and i have bump steer horrible. I found some on ebay (front and back kyb gr 2) for 200 shipped...is this trustable?
I just replaced my d16y7, im not really wanting to spend THAT much!

AGX's are adjustable. I've put them on an EJ1 and now an EJ8. I got the rears used from the for sale ads here on HT. Front ones new from the below company. I've been buying from them for 15 years. Check them out.

KYB GR-2 - end of story.
I've owned two sets and they are excellent stock replacements. You asked for a good stock replacement and I assure you I gave you an exceelent choice the first time.
The adjustable AGX is overkill for what you're asking for.

For $30.00 you can't go wrong really, but I have replaced shocks (using KYB GR-2)on stock Accords, Civics, Legends, etc. with over 200K original springs and have never had any complaints.

GR-2 will be fine, if you want something more sporty AGX are adjustable. Stock springs should be fine also, but it wouldnt hurt to pick up that cheap set just in case yours are junk.
