Default tightening the drive belts

I have a 1998 Civic and less than a week ago had ALL the belts REPLACED. Everything was fine until a short ram intake was put on it, and now all of the sudden the alternator belt is squealing like crazy and driving me INSANE. I had this problem before, and the belt needed tightened, and I REALLY do not want to pay the mechanic $60 to tighten it. So my question is...how hard is this to do yourself? And if so, does anyone know the procedure?
