Thumping sound after accident
Alright about two weeks ago i got in a fender bender and i'm getting all the body work done soon but i have a quick question. Now after the accident i hear a "thumping" sound when i start moving and as i accelerate the thumping increases too.
Is it that my alignment is off, or do i need my tires balanced again? Somebody please help me out.
thanks, John

you should go in for a wheel alignment and balancing.....then, if that doesn't cure it i would think you definitly may have something bent up !

thanks for the input, i know the control arm isn't bent so i'm assuming it's either axle or something with the wheel/tire or just a simple alignment hopefully

yup. get under there and take a look at your rims and make sure there are no flat spots. check see if they are holding air.
does your steering wheels vibrate at all when driving and does the vibration increase with vehicle speed?
if so then it could be a bent front rim or a messed up axle. if its the rears it would be a little harder to feel because they are not linked to the steering wheel.

Re: Thumping sound after accident (gumtape_deathmatch)
nope, not really vibrating, just the thumping get alittle louder and feel it alittle more, along with it increasing as you accelerate
