Default Thump or Pop in new installed axle 95 civic

I just installed a brand new axle for my 95 civic sedan. I am just curious if any one else has had the problem when you put it in gear and take off fast makes a thump sound. It also happends when braking. Any one know if it could be a bad axle we installed twice to make sure everything was good but it keeps doing it.

It is very likely you received a bad axle, especially if it was remanufactured. Even if it was 100% new, it could have been poorly built and can be bad. I have received a few bad ones over the years, it does happen.

thats what I was thinking, the guy at the shop said give it a day might just need to break in. I never broke an axle in but if not gone tomm ill change it. It usually when it is under most pressure sounds like a knock

correct me if im wrong but the guy said the noise will go away just needs to break in and move around for a bit. I just went for a drive, and I did not hear the sound. Is this really true because I never had heard of it?

Is the lower ball joint the one under the brakes? If so I used impact gun on all thoose. It is a stock engine. The nise comes more when accelerated. The noise sounds like a old opening door now!!

check your motor mounts. one of the bolts may be loose. especially on the t bracket going to the transmission.
