Default Throwing codes on 2000 D16y8 - was auto, now manual trans car

Guys, I need some serious help here....I have a 1999 EK that had a USDM type r motor in it. I sold the ITR motor to a guy and he gave me his 2000 automatic d16y8 motor as part of the deal.

I am running a manual trans now, manual ecu, automatic wiring harness, manual intake manifold and I'm throwing two codes, most notably code 14, the IACV. I'm also throwing code 65, a secondary o2 sensor. The o2 can be easily remedied but the IACV is driving me nuts. All of the wiring is correct to the ecu and the intake manifold I just installed today.

So that said, I need help...I have no idea what is causing this IACV code to be thrown and I need to get the car smogged to sell it to a very patient buyer.

Any d series masters out there now where the problem lies?

Thanks-

on the 2000, the iacv is a 3 wire....weird but true. I compared it to another manual trans 2000 d16y8 side by side today and it was a 3 wire.

Im no D series master but if im not mistaken the automatic Y8 has a Three wire AIC plug no? if thats the case, your manual ecu is reading it wrong and u have to get rid of the orange wire thats in there and re pin the other two, if u have a service manual look where the other two wires go. if this isnt the case then im sorry but thats the only thing i can think of that would cause it other than a bad AIC valve.

yes, the iacv harness off my wiring harness is a 3 plug AND the harness on the iacv on the back of the intake manifold is a 3 pin.

I have confirmed on another 2000 d16y8 manual trans car that the plug and pin are both 3.

What about the intake manifold? Is it an automatic or the manual? On a manual intake mani, the IACV is ON the manifold. For the auto, the IACV its integrated with the TB.

why do i need to do a fix when the engine harness AND the iacv harness are both the 3 pin?

There isn't a 2 wire in either of them....

Anyone with a 2000 ex go look at their IACV valve and tell me if it's a 3 wire like mine is? The intake manifold I have is a P2K and is from a manual 2000 ex manual car...so I have no idea why I should do the IACV fix when it's 3 and 3.

Is my only option to find ANOTHER intake manifold with a 2 pin IACV and swap that in?

thanks guys...ok, so if I understand it right, I need to get a 2 wire IACV and simply bolt that into the intake manifold on the car and wire that in, correct?

I think i have to move a pin in the ecu too, yea?

Thanks-

ok
first u said u have an auto engine harness?>
if so you need a 2 wire plug to connect to the 5 speed 2 wire IACV

second, the pin out for the IACV is different for an auto and manual car

good luck
