throwing 3 codes lots of FUN!!!
ok so heres the story i have a 2000 civic si b16a2 i juss put a new altenator in it allversion motoring told me it was high power more amp's 90 amp i know stock is 80 amp i also was ******* around with my exhaust and took my cat off to hear what it sounded like went to put bak on and i lost the rubber seal that it has from the header to the stock cat and i made a custom one but still check engine light for the exhaust ..... i put it in i have 3 codes one is 20 the next is 41 the next is 65 ive checked haynes and its tellin me electrical overload and my heat o2 sensors would the electrical overload be from the high amp altenator or what .... im really confused on why these codes keep comin bak i hate obd II .... if anyone would like to help me out on how to get these codes to go away or what to do.........oh yea another big problem my vtec doesnt engage....help me out here if you want thank you

oh, and check your fuse box under the steering column for a blown fuse...I had this same problem and it was a blown fuse.....it was the alternater Sp sensor.

yes, check your fuse box....look on the lid for alternator sp sensor and then check the fuse.

thats cool hey i also want to know how long i should keep my power cable off my battery for to reset my ecu .... thanks a lot

damn i bet its my speedometer fuse becuase that isnt workin either GREAT!!!!! there is also a sqeaky noise when i spike the throtle ...... what the **** is wrong anyone know

replace that burnt fuse you found in the fuse box!!! that blown fuse will cause your speedometer to jump around by itself and cause the check engine light... I am telling you, I already went through this with my civic hb. My civic was throwing like 4 different codes... like VSS (vehicle speed sensor), o2 sensor, cylinder #4 missfire, ELD (electrical load detector).....I got all these codes over one burnt fuse.

Did you replace the #15 fuse in your under dash fuse box? It's a 7.5a. Does the light still come on? Does the fuse blow again?

if your vtec doesn't work then you have other problems as well.....what all did you do to your car? You said you replaced your alternator and battery but those would have no effect on your vtec. There has to be something you are not telling us.

replaced fuse no more engine lights thanks a lot .... now i think i tightend my altenator too tight or sumthin i have no idea but its makin a loud sqeak any ideas??

just did that most of all the sqeak went away .... last problem everything eles is solved except .... why does vtec not pop now???

dude thanks so much everything is awesome everything works i still have a lil sqeaky when i start and when i down shift and stuff but other then that everything is perfect thanks a lot guys u guys are awesome saved me lots of cash
