Default throwing "1" code on d series

Far as i know it is the oxygen sensor i think but my crappy autometer A/F gauge is working pretty well. Ohh yeah if you are confused buy the "1", the light only blinks once and fast.

anyone have this problem before i belive i need to replace the o2 sensor, But it only comes on after i have driven 10 min. or so.and is never on when i restart.

also my car is an ODB1 P28 d'series.
thanx

try driving the car relatively hard for a little bit to burn the carbon off the o2. then reset the ecu. see if the code comes back. if it does, then pull the o2 out, and use a torch LIGHTLY! to burn off the carbon on the end of the o2 sensor. just gently pass the torch over the o2, not too close, you will see the carbon dissapear.

check the connection for the O2 gauge, likely crimped and not soldered.
Gicing ECU fits.

So the A/f gauge could be causing this Mista bone? i have it twisted tightly and heat shrinktubing around it, it has been there for over a year and no problems. the only thing that was odd was i just changed my tranny/clutch out and i removed the bottom half of my header to access the tranny better and it sat like that for a day or so, maybe some particals of somesort got on the O2 sensor i dunno. i just restart whenever it comes on and it is gone for like 15 min. or so. i have acess to a few extra O2 sensors i will try to replace it,Will repost with results later.
thanx................
