Re: throwin codes (JDMHONDACIVICX)
obd1? if so you can check it using a paper clip or jump wire. on the pass side under the dash near the door is a blue like clip/harness. jump it and turn the key to on. the check engine light will flash with the code.

Taken from Hondata's site:
OBDI and later ECUs
Find the diagnostic connector, which is a two wire blue connector found near the passengers feet, or in the centre console.
Short out the diagnostic connector with a piece of wire. The check engine light on the dash will flash the problem codes.
Code Meaning
1 O2A - Oxygen sensor #1
2 O2B - Oxygen sensor #2
3 MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor
4 CKP - crank position sensor
5 MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor
6 ECT - water temperature sensor
7 TPS - throttle position sensor
8 TDC - top dead centre sensor
9 CYP - cylinder sensor
10 IAT - intake air temperature sensor
12 EGR - exhaust gas recirculation lift valve
13 BARO - atmospheric pressure sensor
14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve
15 Ignition output signal
16 Fuel injectors
17 VSS - speed sensor
19 Automatic transmission lockup control valve
20 Electrical load detector
21 VTEC spool solenoid valve
22 VTEC pressure valve
23 Knock sensor
30 Automatic transmission A signal
31 Automatic transmission B signal
41 Primary oxygen sensor heater
43 Fuel supply system
45 Fuel system too rich or lean
48 LAF - lean air fuel sensor
54 CKF - crank fluctuation sensor
58 TDC sensor #2
61 Primary oxygen sensor
63 Secondary oxygen sensor
65 Secondary oxygen sensor heater
Hope that helps.

I dont mean to hijack the thread...but when reading codes i get this.
one LONNNNGGGGGG one, followed by 4 short bleeps..then nothing...and then the same pattern again.
Is that cel code 10 and 4 ..or 14?

Re: throwin codes (JDMHONDACIVICX)
weird, i have a b18c1 swap and a chipped p28 running the skunk2 program and after about 20 mins my check engine light comes on for primary o2. sometimes it takes awhile to come on sometimes if i get on it hard it comes right on. its done the same with other chips ive used also, and if i use my gsr ecu i throw no codes.
also, are you still running the stock gsr manifold or a skunk2? because the chip is meant for a single runner manifold and if you're using the gsr, thats a dual runner.

Re: throwin codes (JDMHONDACIVICX)
do you throw a code when using the gsr ecu?
taken from hyperducktuning.com's faqs:
:: Should I purchase a RACE chip if I have stock motor?
No, there is no benefit on Honda/Acura motor to use a modified ROM with stock engine parts, as neither has the air/fuel requirements changed.
:: Can I run a P28/P08 on a GSR (B18C1) or SR-V (H22A)?
Yes the ecu will run fairly well but should only be used for RACE applications. As they do not control IAB (Dual Stage Intakes) and loss of bottom end torque will be the result.
