Default throw out bearing life once noise has started?

noob question but i've never had this problem, just curious, it's not honda related but my girl's throw out bearing in her car is making some noise. Just wondering if anyone had an idea about the time length of that assembly still working before the clutch ceases to operate.

hmm my friends has been doing it for a long time, and his clutch is great...

maybe the throw out bearing is just going bad? does the clutch slip or anything?

yeah for sure... plus the clutch you can tell has some chatter to it when pulling out in 1st. it clamps good, but you really have to give it some gas to pull out smoother. thanks!

Use to work at a shop and Over time throw out bearings start to go bad so just replace it. Shops usually replace for a little extra cost when they do work on clutches cuz its recommended. They usually just go bad if it has been a while since it has been replaced. Its one of those things that won't last forever.

I drove on mine for 8 months, 5 days a week @ 100/miles per day before I finally couldn't take it anymore and had my throwout bearing and clutch replaced. Huge difference after that.

that helps out a bunch! thanks... good to know. I'm just trying to justify when to replace it if it's not THAT big of an issue at the moment. thanks again
