you cant replace just the sensor. you have to replace the throttle body. Before you shotgun a part, check to make sure you have reference voltage (i believe 5 volts) and a good ground connection.

you bet your sweet *** you can replace that sensor!
you have to go at it with a hack saw to get a ridge in it. then get a stubby flat head screw driver and unscrew it. look on ebay or h-t for sale forums for TPS sensors.
good luck
to check if it is still good, get a voltometer, stick the red probe(+) into the center wire(jam it up there) then the black probe(-) ground it to the (-) side of the batt. you should get .45 at idle and 4.45-4.50 at WOT . make sure key is in the on position with the motor off

This problem sucks. I have the same one. I replaced the tps and the idle air control valve and it worked for about a week. You will have to get a dremel to grind a slot in the bolts and try to unscrew like a bolt with a flat head screwdriver. Make the slot. If your careful enough it will work. If not grind the whole head of then pull the tps and get vice grips to get the bolts out the replace the bolts.
