Throttle Position Sensor?(searched)
EDIT: I know this is HONDA-tech.com, not DODGE-tech.com...im just askin for some help diagnosing my friends problem on his car. I have a 99 civic but my friend doesnt, other websites suck but i find this one useful
My friend has a 98 dodge neon. after driving for a bit, the car dies when it is decelerating(sometimes) and after the car is warmed up after driving, it revs pretty high for idle. when u put it in drive u dont have to press the gas pedel and it will start going. what i am wondering is, is it the Throttle Position Sensor? the car dieing started first then a few days later the car started with the high reving. any info would be helpful, also is there a way to test to see if the Throttle Position Sensor is good/bad?
