throttle body upgrade
so i have been having issues, with my idle, and my throttle plate sticking, and not sure if its the plate, or the spring, but i was gonna just grab a new one... i was looking at upgrading to a throttle body with a bigger bore... my question is if i go for a 68mm, will i have any issuse with my car running too lean since there will be more air coming in, or does the computer compensate? and will i have issues not running a fitv since there is no fitv port? got a y7/y8 mini me, just intake, and exhaust

Re: throttle body upgrade
No, but your throttle response will suffer greatly.
Remove the TB, spray brake clean or w/e in there, clean it all out with an old toothbrush and reinstall with a new gasket. See what happens. There is probably oil vapor build up causing it to stick.

Re: throttle body upgrade
ok so I picked up a 68mm throttle body, and because my car is a 93 LX, it has the MAP sensor on the firewall, and there is what I think is a vaccuum line coming from the bottom of the sensor to a port on the throttle body.... what should I do about this vaccuum line because my new TB doesnt have a port for it? should I just tap into my intake somewhere? and the throttle body I got looks like it doesnt hav an idle adjustment screw... do I adjust idel with the screw under where the throttle cable attaches?
