Default throttle body question

i've read somewhere that a throttle body from b-seris engines will fit on my d16. i have an CAI on my car so my question is, will it stil work. if i got a gsr throtte body, would i haveto change anythig to make it work on my engine. the reason i ask is because the intake tubing for a gsr is bigger than the tubing for a d16, and that makes me wonder if it'll work or not. thanks for your help.

really, i thought the ones on the b-series engines were bigger because they neeed more air than the d-series.

the part where the intake tube clamps over is excatly the same size from a b16 as the one on the d16z6 and the b16 is the same size as the one off my friends gsr

either way, adding a throttle body with a bigger bore to a d16 will not give it much performance or hp if you are NA, but if you were to boost that d16, every little bit will count.

that's what i was thinking. i eventually wat to add a turbo to my engine and i thought this would be a cheap way to get a bigger throttle body. a prelude one would fit too woudn't it.

i'm not too sure on the prelude TB, but adding a turbo to your d16 is the best route to go! i've seen single cam boosted hatches keeping up and even beating ls-vtec's... with good tuning you can keep up with the best. if you haven't decided on a turbo set up yet, i'd think about going DRAGIII, it will be the best investment you'll ever make. and later on if you decide on going DOHC, all you would have to do is change up on the turbo manifold.

i was thinking about getting a drag kit or an fmax. i have a question tho, what is the difference in all the stages of the drag kits??? obviously the Drag III pus out more power than teh DragI, but what makes it do that. yeah, eventually i wan o do a swa, perhaps a B20/vtec, but i'd feel bad getting rid of an engine that i can stil get some good power from.
