throttle body question
i got a 99 civic d16y8 5spd
i took the throttle body off to clean it and clean the iacv....when i went to tighten the nut back to the throttle cable line the bolt broke because i tightened it too much...so i went to the junk yard and ripped a throttle body out of a d15 which was automatic...now my car is over reving at 2000rpms when driving and puttin it in neutral. When i come to a complete stop it fluctuates from 1000rpms to 2000rpms or sometimes itll just stay at 2000 rpms.If i loosen the throttle cable the rpms go down, but then my car starts to boggle..and when i tighten it back up it does what its doing now.
I am guessing its doing this because i took it off an automatic? or any other thoughts? should i order the correct one from a honda dealership?

Re: throttle body question
Not sure if the IACV from the D15 will work with your Y8. In addition, the D15 likely has an FITV. Try cleaning it out. The throttle cable must have some slack (~1/2").
