Throttle body problem??
In addition to the jerkiness of the car.. the gas pedal was jerking along with it.. moving on its own revving the car and causing it to jerk down the road.. so could it be the throttle body and not the clutch? <<<https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1104350

Vacuum leaks, a bad TB gasket and a bad idle control valve on the bottom of the TB could all cause such symptoms.
