Throttle Body Help !!

Default Throttle Body Help !!

I have a D16Z6 with stock throttle body, I heard a B16a one is better because its bigger and sucks in more air , am i able to take my stock one off and put one of those on without damaging anything due to its not a b16 ??? and will i gain any hp or anything by doing so

i'm not really sure what the what bore the b16 tb is, but before you buy anything make sure the seller measures the backside of the tb so you'll know what bore it is. i know for sure the gsr is 60mm, which i believe is 4mm's bigger.

oh yea, it shouldn't hurt anything. you might have to rig some things up.

Its a direct bolt on. Be sure to use the TB gasket that matches the TB. ALthough you will be pulling more air throught the throttle body, but you will still be restricted by the inlet on the intake manifold itself. I would recommend port matching your stock intake manifold to the B16 TB.

im guessing the ports are smaller on my d16 than the b16 right so it wont fit ?

No the bolt patterns completely different. The B16A t/b is in fact 60mm. It will bolt up. Portmatch your manifold or invest in an aftermarket or other OEM option.
