Default Threw a rod.....small bits of advice?

my girl's 00 EX threw a rod a few weeksa ago as soon as she shifted out of 3rd (not at redline either, nor was she flooring it) but anyway, we got a used engine for 300, and it has 130k on it. it came from a running car that was in an accident, and we dont have enough cash for a swap right now so we settled on another D16Y8. Either way, when i get the engine out of the car, before i put the new one in, what all should i replace? I've been told i should do the clutch, waterpump, timing belts, camshaft seal, and turn the flywheel. now, is there anything else i should replace while the engine is out? any help at all would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys (and gals)

well if your low on cash just look at the stuff like clutch and t belt those are the main two if they look good then leave it. usually the t belt is replaced at 100k so im gonna bet that one is still good same with the water pump cause you do it at the same time. as far as seals just look to see if it was leaking. dont waste money. how many miles were on the old motor? thats crazy in a 00 i would be pist.

i would change the timing belt and water pump first. if your clutch is still ok on the blown engine you can just transfer it over. that's the main things the other ones just inspect it and if it looks like its worn and needs replacing then do it.

the engine has 95,000 on it, and the rest of the car is in tip top shape. regular oil changes and everything, the car ran great prior to throwing the rod. for about 2 weeks before there was a slight rod knock that my girl never told me about until later, and the oil was a little burned at the last oil change, 350 miles bofore it went. and yea, i still am pissed and this was easter weekend it happened
