threw code 41 with d16z6 swap and p28 ecu, ? is there way to bypass prim heater
hey I recently swapped in a d16z6 to my cx, im using a p28 ecu, i checked the codes and it says im throwin code 41, primary oxygen sensor heater, which i believe is due to the fact im running the cx harness with 1 wire o2 sensor, is there any way to bypass this, or an easy fix? I know I can wire in a 4 wire o2 sensor but I wanted to see if it can be bypassed thanks

The heater element in the O2 sensor has a DC resistance in the range of 15-40ohms. You could try to find a really high wattage resistor in this region and wire it up to your ECU.

bump and your saying that if i wire a wire to ground from the ecu and put a high wattage resistor in the line it will work? or turn off the cel atleast, any idea how high the wattge should be?
any other ideas thanks

A 10 watt resistor should be sufficient. You can also modify the programming to disable the heater if you have access to Crome and an EPROM programmer.
