Anybody tried to make a rubber gasket or something to squeeze between the mount and frame to quite them up a bit?

Try some graphite powder...I have used that with good results. The rubber gasket idea is a pretty good idea too. It would be tough on some of the mounts that fit pretty tight in the brakets though. Ryan have you tried it yet?
