Default for those who have swapped b into d series cars

a quick question. i was wondering, if i were to use the del sol vtec axels for a b series swap into my del sol s, will it fit into the hub/spindle that came stock with my car? or would i have to change over to del sol vtec or integras. something about the splines at the end of the axel......

i have no idea of how to discribe it for my knowledge of auto parts and names are still farely limited. but if anyone knows what i'm talking about, please help!

As long as when you say vtec, you mean the model, as in came with a B16A3, yes. Not if you meant the Si, which had a D16Z6 (will fit hubs, but not with the B series motor).

so what would i have to do to make it work with a b-series motor.

vtec as in the b16 sol
si as in d16
mine.... d15

i was just worried about axel problems and wanting to take care of everything and get all the parts before a swap.

Default Re: (CivicSiLS)

OK SORRY TO GET ANNOYING

but just to reconfirm, if i have a d15, all i would need to do for a beseries swap other than shiftlinkage and ecu and such is get axels, i wont have to change anything on the spindle/knuckle?

and i can use del sol vtec axels (i heard integra axels are the same)

its just a rather large investment for me and i dont want to be stuck with a car that is half torn apart mid swap for parts to come in, sinc eit is my only car.

thanks everyone for helping thus far, its been definately reassuring

Yes you can do the swap without changing anything on your hubs. Do you have the linkage? If not I have one, PM me.

currently i have integra brake calipers, disks, rear disk setup, drivers side beseries mount (got it for free), shiftlinkage, 15/16 non abs brake master cylinder, 40/40 proporsion valve; now i'm thinking i need an integra brake booster, engine tranny and ecu. i think i'm set after axels.....
