Those w/ CTR carpet
I got my CTR carpet installed but then I ran into some problems. I dont know whether or not I was supposed to take out the reinforcement bar if thats what it is. Here are the pics
We couldnt get it to fit perfect so we kinda figured maybe thats the problem
Took it off and bam the carpet went in..BUT
Theres a gap now. Is that suppoed to be like that after installing the carpet?

Re: Those w/ CTR carpet (96ex)
no...do you think civic type r's had a gap like that from the factory?...what you should do if you wanna keep it in there go to wal-mart or a fabrics place and get some carpet that matches that color and fill it in where the gap is....you'll prob be the only person tp know its there like that...nobody would notice that little bit if you add in carpet where its missing...especially at that little portion of the car

that's definately not right.. looks like you got the carpet from a different model than you have. I would just look for fabric that is the same color and fill in the gaps..
what car do you have?

damn thats a bitch, I wouldn't even mess with the carpetry myself esp. when I'm putting a nice CTR carpet in my car, I'd let the pros do the work. Those seam remover used on regular household carpet will come in handy if you fill in that gap with additional fabric.

The CTR carpet is made for a 96-00 Civic hatchback. I am assuming your installing it on your 96-00 coupe. The reason is that im looking at my plastics and they look very different in the front near the door.

that's what i thought.. which is why i asked him what kind of car he has. i figured it was a coupe, cuz the CTR only comes in hatch form.. making the carpet not fit..

That cant be right. What kind of idiot would think a Hatch carpet would fit in a coupe?

Re: Those w/ CTR carpet (u2civic1)
It seems from your first pic, this is just a guess I don't own a 96-00 civic. But, can't you take off the plastics, and somehow put the carpet over the reinforcement bar (glue it, double sided tape) then put the plastics back on?

Re: Those w/ CTR carpet (Intense2.2)
the car i have is a 98 hatchback. dont know why it doesnt fit correctly. When the reinforcement bar was in, we could put the middle on, but the sides wouldnt fit right in.So we decided maybe if we take the reinforcement bar, it would fit, and it did. But now theres a gap. Is the reinforcement bar really neccessary for my car? and I bought it off of Bodykits NW, a well known H-T seller for 200 shipped.
oh yeah i need to get rid of those grey seats, i know i know....
