Doesnt it just unscrew? like you could twist it then pull and youll see the wires attached? Dont know just my personal guess, never pulled a radio antenna from a civic before.

Re: Those with 5th Gen Helms Manual (EM1Guru)
it wont be in the manual. the manual doesnt go through how to reinstall a new one which i assume is what you want to do...
heres what i did.
unplug the antenna from under the dash and radio.. this means remove the "bitch crimps" that hold the antenna in place.
:wipe your brow now and get something to drink:
now unbolt the screws (on top) on the bad antenna. slowly pull the antenna out till you see the wire. dont worry about pulling it too far , just enough so you can cut the main mast from the wires and take out the mast leaving the wire...
this part becomes tricky.....
you need to tape the top of where you cut the wire and attach it to the "male" radio plug.. make sure it is very tight .. *** make sure you tape also the wire and not just the metal male connector you want to tape up to about and inch of the actual wire also...
and all you do is pull on the bottom of the "bad" antenna wire from the bottom of the dash.. pull slowly making sure the new mast actually goes into the hole as you get to that point... and just keep pulling ....
hope this helps
