Default Thinking of buying this del sol...

So this kid I know is selling his del sol for somewhere between $6,000 and $7,500. I'm thinking this is a great deal... what do you guys think?

Exterior: Invader front bumper, Wings West wing, skirts, and rear bumper, Predator carbon fiber hood

Interior: stock honda racing bucket seats, custom interior paint job, white gauge cover, carbon fiber gauges, JL 10 W6 sub, full pioneer front rear set, infinity kappa tweeters

Suspension: Tokiko Blue gas shock coil overs, Neuspeed springs, 4 replaced wheel bearings, new brake rotors/pads

Engine:Honda B16A2 motor from 2000si, Unorthodox cam gears, R1 racing headers, JDM transmission, AEM intake, 2 3/4 custom builtEurospeed straight pipe exhaust from a Jetta with Borla Blower muffler, stage 2 Clutchmasters drag clutch, new flywheel, timing belts, distributor, trans brackets, shift linkage,a/c bracket, its got gsr motor mounts, yellow Nology spark plug wires/plugs, new O2 sensor
Momo shift **** and boot

It's got about 20,000 miles on it which is practically nothing... and I am in need of a new car. I'll have a picture up in a day or two, what do you guys think thus far?

I'd give him whatever blue book value is for the car. Or nothing at all. Aftermarket parts don't add value to the car.

that's a pretty shitty deal IMO. i say just get a bone stock del sol and start from scratch rather then pick up someone elses left overs.

i say find the price of the car and then add half the price of the motor to it then subtract what you think the price of the rice is on it and pay him the number you get. Either way paying 7000 for a fixed up and most likely raped del sol is way toooooo much.

yea man i wouldnt pay that for it, i might give him 5 just cause you can sell the kit and all that stuff. Im not a big fan of sols though, i had one and just traded it for a ls swapped hatch. I love the hatch, more room, lighter, and i think just doesnt look gay.

yea, $5k max, the only thing worth anything on it is the motor. The only del sol I would consider near $7K would be a perfect condition stock 97 VTEC model.

Tell him that if he returns it to stock you will give him $5k. Other than that I think you will be sorry. Shady deal!
