Default Thinking about building a Ls/Vtec swap.

Should I do it or not? I hear bad and good about it all the time if not I will probably go Ls turbo or all motor B16. I am going to start buying parts in the next week or so. I already purchased a GSR tranny. I am trying to get **** done because my b16 got fucked by my father in law.

Its' reliable when done correctly. I've just started my own LS/Vtec project. Tuning is the key as to whether anything is reliable, turbo, N/A, whatever, Just do your homework first before getting in over your head.

Yeah I know tuning is the key for any setup but I am just saying that I know people and have heard stories of people having reliability issues. I have a friend that has had his together for three years now but then I know people that have had them for three weeks.

do it . build it from the ground up. dont just "slap" a vtec head on a running ls block. do it right my friend, and that means build the f*kin thing.

I was gonna use the B16 oil pump and pistons. The supertec valvetrain and ITR cams. I also am gonna use the B18a block instead of the B18b. I have heard the B18a is better to use in this case.

well in a way LS/VTEC defnitly has it bad and goods but one bad is that the LS block does not come with OIL SQUIRTTERS and that is a key to a VTEC motor, One good about the LS block is that the crank has good torque and defnitly strong
