Re: Thin side mouldings (SHAGGY)
just remove the inner door panels, and it's pretty self-explanatory from there... also for the fender, just remove the fender liner and get them from the back... if you have a helms manual, you'll find a step by step, and it's very easy
(by the way, I remember seeing a DIY write-up a couple of months ago on this very topic on on the jdmcivic.com forums... the guy did it on an EK sedan, and he showed each step with very good pics)

The best way is to take off your interior panels to access the clips that hold the moldings onto the car. Just pinch the clips and push them out... easiest way without messing up the holes.

Re: Thin side mouldings (slambedcivic)
I just did this yesterday, and the only one i couldn't get out was the one closest to the fender... all you have to do is slide the side molding forward, and the molding will come out with the clip still in the hole. And then to remove the clip from the hole, all you have to do is twist it sideways and pull it out.
Anyway, unless you're planning to do something with your old side moldings, there's no need to go buy clips from the dealer because the new thin side moldings come with their own clip, and if they don't, you got ripped off because they're supposed to come with them.
